ITINERARY DAY ONE 1. Pick-up at an agreed place 2. Visit Jvari Monastery overlooking town of Mtskheta 3. Visit Mtskheta - UNESCO World Heritage Site 4. Visit the cathedral where very important religious relics are kept 5. Short walk in Mtskheta town center 6. Lunch - delicious Georgian cuisine 7. Visit Ananuri Castle Complex 8. Climb one of the towers of the fortress (optional) 9. A stop at a Russian-Georgian memorial with breath-taking views of the valley and mountains 10. Arrive at the hotel in Kazbegi. Stay there overnight DAY TWO 1. After breakfast visit 14th century Church located 2170 meters above the sea level 2. Two km walk to a waterfall (note that it's not an easy walk) 3. Lunch - try Khinkhali in its birthplace 4. Drive to the mineral waters 5. Go back to Tbilisi Note: In winter, on rare occasions, road is closed, due to avalanche danger, if this is the case we will spend more time in Gudauri ski resort. Make sure your hotel in Kazbegi (Stephantsminda) gives you refund in such force majeure.
